Highlands and Islands Enterprise Annual Report
Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) is the Scottish Government’s economic and community development agency for a diverse region which covers more than half of Scotland.
To design and produce HIE’s 2007/08 Annual Report and Accounts. We were also commissioned again in 2008 to produce the 2008/09 Report.
In 2007-08, HIE introduced the largest set of changes since it was established in 1991. The result of these changes is a slimmer, more focused organisation which retains its ambition, commitment, passion and confidence in the region’s future. We wanted to reflect these changes in the concept and design of the report. This was achieved by building our design framework around the four print process colours, with large sans-serifs typefaces for additional visual impact. We introduced bold headlines to tie in with the key messages and themes. Based on the positive feedback from this Report, the 2009/09 Report saw a continuation of the themes and concepts introduced the previous year.
